After the beast prepares a ball for Belle. Afterwards, they are on the balcony, the Beast asks Belle if "It's foolish, I suppose, for a creature like me to hope that one day he might earn your affection." Belle responds "I don't know..." The Beast then asks, "Really? So you think you could be happy here?" She answers, "Could anyone be happy if they're not free?" He then listens to her talk about how her dad taught her to dance and remarks how she must miss him. He lets her glimpse her father in a magic mirror and she sees he's in trouble. At that point he loves her and because he does, he lets her go. This is the moment he allows himself to feel for her. This is the released emotion brake.
